About Us

Hersham Football Club has a rich history, from humble beginnings in the village in 1976 to the 160 member Club with 12 regular teams it is today.  Throughout the organic growth and development, Hersham FC have maintained their core values and continue to support the local community by providing sporting opportunities with a family feel.  The Club, registered as a Sports and Social Club, is structured and managed by a committee annually elected by its members.  The experienced management team share a long-standing affinity with the Club, often having been involved either directly or indirectly with teams within the Club.

Over the 37 years since the Club was formed, valuable links have been established not only with players and parents but also members of the local community, local businesses, the local borough council, schools, press and other Clubs.

Hersham FC is proud to offer affordable football for all. Spread between playing home games at Bell Farm School for the younger age groups and Desborough Island for the youth and our senior teams, the Club are currently working on a business plan that would ultimately see them develop their home ground at Desborough Island into a long term sports for all project.

The Club is one of, if not the cheapest, Charter Standard clubs to play for in the area.  This is something the Committee are proud of and strive to keep costs to an absolute minimum for parents.
